So I got a horrible colour job done by my stylist who's also a girl who's a friend of a friend. She in no way attempted to do what I asked and what was discussed. If felt very rushed and I'm so unhappy. My issue is that I also ordered my tape in extensions from her in a colour I now see won't even match and I know it's going to make my hair look even worse. What can I say to her to not offend her but let her knows I'm cancelling the apmt and want my money back for the hair.

I would just straight up tell her. I understand she's a friend of a friend but I don't let anyone mess up my hair and you shouldn't have to pay for a crap job.

I would get my money back. This happened to me once before, it looked "fine" but it was totally the wrong color lol. I didn't pay for this at the moment because I was really unhappy. She offered me a redo for free and I even made an appt for it and later cancelled. I would be honest and not beat around the bush, let it be known that you are unsatisfied but be sure to be respectful even if you are unhappy. That could go a long way. "I feel really unhappy about how my hair color turned out, I have tried to accept it and pushed how I feel aside but I felt since I paid 200 dollars and it's not what I was going for I am really uncomfortable with the situation. This color does not match the extension I ordered from you, and I would like a refund on my order"

I suggest you tell her straight away. Just tell her that you aren't satisfied with the job she did and you imaged your hair differently. Suggest you want your money back because it's not what you asked for. Try to be nice and friendly, don't tell her it's not good enough or whatever. Try to explain it and good luck!

Exactly what Livi said, that's perfect.
Just try and be very respectful in the way you say it but you definitely have to make sure you get across that you are unhappy with the results and it is not what you wanted from the picture you brought in. The same thing happened to me when I got highlights done, the girl who did them was super nice and we got along great but my hair looked horrible. I have dark brown hair and she put in super gold highlights that I looked like a skunk. I called and complained and asked to get it fixed free of charge, so I went back in and I was stupid and forgot to ask for someone else to fix my hair, so they gave me the same girl. She did my hair and didn't say 1 word to me, it was in the middle of the winter and she didn't even dry my hair when she was finished. My hair still looked horrible so I was forced to complain again and they wouldn't give me my money back but they said I could get it done again for free. At this point I didn't want to fry my hair anymore so I just left it and ended up doing it myself a couple months later. Hopefully your hairdresser won't take it too personal but you should definitely stand up for yourself if you paid that much money on hair that you don't like.

🙊 I did it. I just told her I want to cancel the order of the extensions cause the blonde was just too much for me and I feel it would be very overwhelming and not suit me. I hope she's not offended. And I don't want her or the saline to fix what was done, I just want my money back on the extensions they haven't ordered yet so that should be okay and not offend her too much.

If I was someone I didn't know I probably would complain much more but since she's my best friends good friend I don't wanna have an awkwardness there.

Yeah and if you don't like the color maybe you can ask her to use a toner to tone down the blonde - it just seems like a really harsh transition from the brown to blonde that really looks you could have done it at home as opposed to paying so much at a salon.

That's great Jenna. Did they refund your money for the extensions? That is not even too much to ask for. :)
