Is it true you can use coconut oil under your eyes as a cream to treat dark circles and puffy eyes?

I've heard coconut oil should not go on your face

Coconut oil has tons of benefits but I don't believe that's one of them.

I don't see how it would but I can't say for sure. What I do know for sure though is that coconut oil works wonders for my body and hair but breaks me out if I use it on my face:(

All it will do in lock in moisture - which could help those areas if dryness is causing them.

Coconut oil is basically just a sealant to lock in moisture. It is not actually a moisturizer, it can also clog pores and some people react to it on their face. Check out The Face Shop Mango Seed eye cream. It's very moisturizing and it's very cooling under your eyes.

I don't believe any oils are good for under eyes. Just buy a cream.

You can use a gentle moisturizing oil like jojoba under your eyes - I do when I put it all over my face - it just provides moisture but I don't think it does anything for puffy eyes/dark circles it just moisturizes

I recommend Clinique All About Eyes :) it is the only product that has helped me reducing bags (much more than Garnier roll-on or Sephora's) and no dark circles even if I sleep a couple of hours!! It is really effective! :D

I recommend using a eye cream it takes a combination of ingredients to fight the signs of aging under the eye area and coconut oil doesn't provide them ,you really wanna use something specifically formulated for the eye area

If you want a natural option for under the eyes shea butter is awesome! I use this and it's the best "cream" for moisture and antioxidants and fine lines. It's not Botox but it's great. I recommend using a very little, warming it between your fingers and smoothing it on. For day use, you will need to wait a few minutes before concealor- or don't!- and your get a bit of a glow on the orbital of your eye. Set with powder though!
