Okay so I bought the cover girl ink it pencil eyeliner because it was inexpensive and I'm just starting with eyeliner and I didn't want to spend to much money on an eyeliner. I bought pencil because I've tried liquids and I don't like them that much. But my problem with pencil is how do I get a straight line? And how do a get a good wing? I don't like my eyeliner very thick but I always end up looking like Amy Winehouse after I'm done. Someone please help me.

Make sure the pencil is sharpened, and do little dots along your lashline and then just connect them carefully.

Liquid is easier for a wing, when I'm doing my eyeliner I say what am I going to do, wing or normal? If wing, liquid. If normal, pencil or gel.

Not exactly kat, gel is really easy for a wing.
I prefer gel rather than liquid when I do my wings.

Gel eyeliners are good with eyeliner brushes. try maybellines. I got it for $7 it's really good for me I love it. & it's ok if you can't get a good wing at first because I was like that all the time I still am lol.?? I have those lucky days and those unlucky days. when I couldnt make the eyeliners winged evenly I would do my eyeliner but when I get to the outer of my eyes I make it straight if you get me? because I hate not wearing eyeliner because my eyes look so small.

I agree you might have better luck with wings if you use gel liner and a good brush.

I've done wings since I was 13 (7 years ago) hahaha, and I always go back to liquid! I love gel, but I like it more for my waterline. The inexpensive winged liner I like is the Jordana Fabuliner, Wet n Wild mega last, or ELF. They're all under $3 and have a thin brush which is easy to work with. Just go slowly. I hate pencils for winged liners, lol, they don't work out unless you're going for the smudged look.

Best LIQUID liners*, not winged. Also, if you much prefer gel over liquid, I love the Rimmel one. Amazing quality, super black, and it lasts me all day (even on the waterline!)
