It's important to invest in nice foundation brushes because this is the base of your makeup. here are a few options I would include in your brush collection:
beauty blender: this is my absolute favorite purchase. it blends the foundation in like no other and leaves you with the most flawless perfect finish.
- original beauty blender can be found at sephora for $20
- real techniques beauty blender (I hear is a great dupe) can be found at your local target or meijer for a fraction of the cost. I usually see it for about $7, but the other day at meijer, I saw a 2 pack for 10
- you could also get up and up brands which are okay, but I wouldn't get them unless you desperately have to. they cost about $5 and you can find them just about anywhere.
pointed foundation brush: these are my personal least favorite. I find it can leave the face looking streaky and uneven. I like using mine to apply an even coat of face mask though and it works perfectly for that!
- mary kay sells one for just $20 and it's definitely the nicest one in my collection. its soft, thicker than most, but still not too thick, and just overall really good quality.
- real techniques also has one in their core collection which is a 4 piece brush set that runs for about $17. I haven't used it for myself, but I hear amazing things about it.
buffing brush: this is my favorite type of foundation 'brush'. its buffs the product in so nicely and leaves your face looking flawless. I still gravitate more to my beauty blender, but it's still a must have in my collection.
- real techniques has the expert face brush which is around $7-9 and it works great! the bristles are a little short, but it's sense and is a nice brush to blend your foundation in with.
- most people actually prefer the real techniques buffing brush. I personally don't own it yet, but I would love to have it in my collection. you can only get this brush in the core collection set though.
hope you found this somewhat helpful (: good luck!
