Hey guys. Haven't been on a while but I'm going to start accutane for my acne in a couple of weeks. I can't tell you how surprised I was to be told to take it because my acne is only on my chest and back and all it is is scars now- no recent break outs.
So I got all the information on it, including the price. And I'm wondering is my dermatologist saying this to make money or does accutane really help scarring?
Is there any products out there that will quicken the process? I want to be able to wear spring clothes without feeling insecure.

I can honestly say I noticed little to no difference with scarring. My face was horribly scarred before I took it, and it's still pretty unattractive (lol, but really) for just being on your chest and back I'm not sure it would help at all. Also, since it is so drying and harsh on your skin, I really wouldn't recommend it since you didn't mention having loads of acne, especially not on your face.

I can't say I noticed any scarring. However I feel as though as you start to get less pimples while on accutane the scarring fades and you don't even notice as you are more focused on the fact that "wow this product is actually working" and by the time you finish the scarring is vertically gone. Especially if you normally picked at your acne and once it's gone there's nothing to pick up. Not sure if that make sense but yeah lol..
