I'm doing my own makeup for my pictures & I have this dark brown smokey eye in mind. I was wondering if I should do something more natural or? & I have no idea what foundation or powder that will photograph well.. Any ideas? Thank you c:

Personally I think it's better to go natural for senior pictures. Your regular foundation will be fine to use, just make sure you use a light hand if you use setting powder (especially HD setting powder) so you don't get a white cast in your pictures.

That's why I said to use a light hand, using too much product is what causes the flashback. I personally don't use any setting powders but that's what I've learned from being here on Beautylish.

What are you going to wear? & that really just depends on your style and what you think suits you best. if it were me, I would do a light smokey eye, kind of like the picture, with a matte lip.

But that's just what I like. if you want it to be bold & dramatic, then by all means make it bold and dramatic! if you want it natural, then make it natural! have fun!!

I would do a more "natural" look, but full glam, if you know what I mean
Maybe something like this

I honestly think that you shouldn't use eye shadow at all because the end result just looks pretty bad; almost bruise - like..
Definitely try to look as nice as possible. That's the last photo you'll take and whenever , if ever, you look back on it , may either be something you don't mind looking at versus a photo you hate..

If anything just practice more with your eye-shadow if you're set on using some.

Speaking from past experience...it was 87 degrees when I went to get my senior pic taken. My relaxed hair went bonkers and my makeup melted. I mean completely melted, streaked, looked a hot dang mess...ugliness in full effect. I was not happy by the time I got in front of the camera. Once I received my pics my hair looked awful but my face...O-M-G!! The photography studio worked wonders! My face looked flawless. My point being is this...the touch up technology is far more advance than it was in 1991 so I really wouldn't stress about the makeup too much. Just don't do a trendy look because it will only make the pic look dated years later. I skipped eyeshadow and just did a winged eye, a touch of blush and I wore a plummy/wine matte lippie. And all that was touched up during processing so I was quite happy with the end result...except for my hair.

I always recommend some kind of eyeshadow, at least in the eye socket as well as false lashes. otherwise your eyes may disappear, or look smaller in the picture.
