Hey guys! So, here's the deal, my birthday is coming up and I DESPERATELY need some new products! I've had the same little makeup kit since I was around 12-13 and I am now almost 15, so it's time for some new products! Here are some of the things I'm looking for with each portion of makeup, and if you're bored and feel like helping me out and giving me some recommendations, I'd be so grateful!
Foundation: since its summer, I often don't want the heaviness of a liquid foundation on my face, plus it takes time! I've always liked the idea of a powder foundation, so of any of you have any powder foundations you love, please let me know. Preferably drugstore! Also, with a powder foundation, can anyone recommend a brush??
Blush/bronzer/highlight: I love dewy, glowing skin, I'm not a big fan of matte looks. I absolutely love love loved Tarte's Amazonian clay bronzer, and their blush in peaceful, a peachy shade. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm honestly open to anything that will make my skin luminous and glowy. I don't currently own a highlighter, I would also appreciate any suggestions for that as well.
Mascara: I had Tarte's lights camera flashes, it was pretty good, but I would love to change it up! Anything that gives lots of volume and is super black I would love!
I would so appreciate anything you guys could suggest to me in any of the categories, thanks loves! Sorry this is so long... 😳 thanks in advance!

Maybelline fit me pressed powder, loreal true match powder? they're both lightweight w/ a natural finish.
MAC false lashes mascara is really good, it isn't drugstore, but its worth the extra money.

I haven't come across any good drugstore powder foundations, but I've used the maybelline one, and it was okay but really sheer coverage, but bare minerals is really good from the little that I've tried, and I've heard good things about the mineral Tart foundation. And if you want a luminous skin, try applying cream or liquid products underneath, like a cream blush (NYX or Maybelline) then there and a few liquid bronzer a starting to come out, you could try the NYC BB bronze, or I saw a liquid bronzer at Giant today, but I can't remember what brand, apply those under your powder foundation and you should be great! It'll give a natural soft glow, then Wet and Wild's highlighter (I can't remember what it's called but it looks like their bronzers, the really really big circle compacts) is really pretty! As for mascaras, I always hear towards Maybelline or Cover Girl! Hope I helped!!

Foundaton:
powder foundation actually takes me longer to apply and I find it cakey. I love bb creams. they have a light-medium coverage, feel like skin, and are easy to apply (: I recommend loreal anti redness! (can't remember the name for sure. its in a green, tall, slim tube with a purple cap) plus, it's only about $7-9. also, you said you're not a fan of matte looks, powder mattifys your skin, js.

blush:
I love love love estee lauder's blushes! I would suggest looking at their color selections and choose some shades that look flattering to you (:

bronzer:
nyc smooth skin sunny bronzer is my absolute favorite. it's only $2-3 and it's nice for an overall summer glow. you could also look into a contour palette. I've heard great things about nyx, smashbox, lorac, anastasia, etc. they also include highlights... I've never bought a highlight myself so I'd really recommend buying a contour palette (:

as for mascara, I'm currently struggling with. all seem dull and boring to me. hopefully you'll find another one you (:

Sadie, tysm! But do you think applying a cream/liquid under a powder foundation would cover up the color?

Katelyn, hehe yeah, wasn't thinking too clearly, powder foundation but I don't like matte looks 😅😳 lol I was thinking it would be a light coverage! Thanks so much for all the info!

Nope! You just apply it a tad bit more heavy, then the foundation will blend it out! Wayne Goss has a video showing this using cream blush, https://youtu.be/Kvw3nXbflvc but what I do in the summer, especially if I want a more natural glowy look, I'll take my Lancôme teint idole ultra 24h (a full coverage foundation, sometimes I'll use revlon color stay for a drugstore version) and I'll only use one pump, if that, and apply it to my cheeks, nose, and chin, only on my problem areas, with my fingers, really melting it into my skin. You can't even tell I have on foundation, just great skin, then I'll apply a cream blush (maybelline bouncy blush or Be a Bombshell blush in Flustered by bombshell cosmetics) to my cheeks, then powder my T zone and under my eyes (I prefer to use bare minerals mineral veil but I've ran out, so I've been using rimmel stay matte). Then I'll apply a highlight (I switch between liquid and powder either one by Temptu or the one that came in my Ulta contour kit) I hope I helped! I tried to give both drugstore and high end options!

Foundation - I LOVE Laura Gellers Balance and Brighten, it's a little more expensive but it includes colour correcting properties within the foundation and it has such a beautiful finish. If you buy it from QVC, it comes with the Laura Geller retractable kabuki brush, which is a godsend of a brush, it's so beautiful!
Highlighter - I adore Benefits High Beam and Laura Geller baked highlighter in Toasted Coconut. I find it really difficult to find highlighters that suit me and these are both beautiful.

Foundation: I use a pressed Neutrogena powder in ivory (I'm fair skinned) and it gives me great coverage but looks very natural
Blush: (Sorry, I don't use bronzer/highlight or any contouring) I have a Mary Kay blush that I love and looks very smooth (I know it's not drugstore but I got it for free an it works great)
Brushes: I got a 32 brush set on Amazon for about $12 and I love it and they're very soft and good-quality. They're also not super expensive because some Sephora brushes are almost $40 each. They're by Leegoal
