I'd suggest getting your hair cut and thinned. Oil treatments work well too, as well as smoothing masks :) the use of heat contributes to frizziness too. Washing your hair with cold or lukewarm water will help too.

For me at least, blow drying tends to poof my hair even more. Can you put some smoothing product in and leave it in a bun or a braid? When I do that it comes out with nice waves

When you dry your hair don't use a towel use a t-shirt. it makes my hair less puffy when it is completely dry.
