Hi everyone,

I don't even know if this is possible, but I am looking for ways to slow hair growth. I love my hair really short (as you can see in my profile picture) but I always end up needing to get it done prettymuch every two weeks (even when I get the shaved parts shaved with a #1 blade) because it grows ridiculously fast.

I want to find a way to do this that isn't unhealthy in any way. All my life, my hair has been growing really fast, but ever since I started a completely vegan diet the growth has sped up even more. I only eat wholefoods (fruits, vegetables, grains, etc.and no processed foods) and I drink 6 litres of water a day, and I exercise daily, so I understand that this will make my hair grow faster, but there is no way I will ever give up veganism/this lifestyle because I feel great and it saved my life. I want a way to do this that will not damage my health or force me to change my lifestyle. If there is some product that might work, it has to be vegan.

It is just getting to the point where I am annoyed with it, and I know I will never want long hair.

Any suggestions? And is anyone else's hair like this?

I believe there was a thread about this a few months back. From what I remember, there are not any ways to show the growth unless you purposely give yourself health problems whiiiiich is a terrible idea lol.

I agree with Shanae. Hair growth is based on genetics so you can't slow your hair growth just like how you can't make hair grow faster.

Mine grows fast too! To me it's great because I can constantly change my hair (I get bored easily with it). I think you might have to keep cutting it! May I suggest you buy clippers? That way, you can do it yourself (much more cost-effective than going to the hairdresser every two weeks) and you can touch up whenever you want!

And perhaps lay off the black sesame seeds, avocados and wheat germ if you eat lots of them!

Mine grows like a weed as well...I agree with Shanae and Breeze. Hair growth is based off genetics and other contributing factors. Definitely do some home care in between going to a pro for a cut to reduce expense.
