I want to know how to get a light brown color on my hair. I don't want to completely fry my hair either.

What I did to lighten my hair was to continually get highlights until you get your desired colour. That way it also looks natural.

Use 1 cup of warm water and 2 cups of lemon juice in a spray bottle to lighten your hair or have highlights.

Go to a salon. Black is the hardest color to lift and depending on what you do, it can cause so many more problems (if you bleach without stripping the dye it'll likely turn green which is almost impossible to get out) and if you don't know what you are doing its going to end in tons of damage.
Also DON't EVER use lemon juice on your hair. It's horrible for it and will cause bad reactions to any dye you use, will likely be very orange and won't react to toners, and is more damaging than bleach most of the time. Diy hair lightening is more dangerous than bleaching your hair yourself.

If it's dyed black and you used a developer with the dye, you could use a hair color remover to get it back to it's natural color. But, like the other girls said, going to a salon is a good idea :)

I agree with the girls go to a salon I bleached my hair at home bought lots of hair dye and ended up spending the same amount I would have in a salon but my hair looks like 💩 now I'm walking around with 4 colors in my hair, blond, black and brown, and red but I'm giving it a break cuz of the bleach so its going to look like that for a while 😭
