I've used the Ouidad Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel in the past. My only complaint is that if I used a conditioner that contained silicone (leaving behind a slight film in the process) that it cause my hair to flake after my hair has dried. If I used after using only a clarifying shampoo then I had no issues with flakes or hair looking dull. It did OK in the humidity...I found that if I didn't apply just the right amount of product then some sections of my hair would be frizzier than others. It was such a pain to get the right amount of product applied to have an even looking mane.

I've tried that Ouidad gel and got decent results. My hair looks great for a day but not the next. I get two days of curl with DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel. But it really depends on your natural hair - I get the same results as Ouidad as with the DevaCurl light defining gel. I would suggest to go ahead and try it- from your profile pic, it looks like your hair is more ruly than mine ;)
