Hey girls I have some coconut oil and I was wanting to use it on my hair I'm just not sure how to use it and how long to keep it on my hair please help me.

First of all, if you live in a climate that isn't always warm I suggest rinsing it out and shampooing outside with a hose. Coconut oil is a solid at room temperature and can clog pipes and cost lots of money.
But to apply, just scoop a chunk and rub it between hour fingers, then apply like a mask. Leave it in as long as you like.


Keep in mind that coconut oil is a sealant, not a moisturizer, so it's most effective when used after a moisturizing mask.

I melt it and distribute it through the bottom half of my hair and leave it on for an hour or so before I wash my hair.
