Yesterday I got the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette. Julie said she couldn't wait to see a MOTD with it and I told Liz I would give some feedback on the palette in this MOTD so here we are! I also have a mini review on the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation.
Products Used:
Face:
-NYX Photo Loving Primer
-NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Vallauris (applied and blended with RT Expert Face Brush)
-NYX HD Concealer in Light (applied under eyes, center of forehead, down the nose, Cupid's bow, and chin. Blended with RT Miracle Complexion Sponge)
-Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette (applied Lyric under eyes to set concealer, Lucid to set rest of concealer, both with RT Setting Brush, contoured cheekbones, sides of nose, chin and jawline with Sombre, RT Contour Brush, and MAC 217)
-MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul (applied on cheeks with ELF Bronzer Brush)
-NYX Illuminator in Ritualistic (applied with RT Fan Brush on top of cheekbones, down the nose, and Cupid's bow)
-Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Brows:
-IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil (lightly filled in)
Eyes:
-Smashbox 24 Hour Eye Primer
-Lorac Pro Palette (Taupe in crease, Pewter all over lid, Nude to highlight under brow and inner corner)
-Cattiva Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner in Black (tight line and waterline)
-Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes (one coat on bottom, two on top)
Lips:
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Ozone (outlined and filled in lips)
-Urban Decay Revolution Lip Gloss in Apocalypse (filled in lips from tube with attached applicator)
Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette First Impression:
Oh my god, I am so glad I got this, I am already IN LOVE. The powders are so soft and blend so easily plus they have great pigmentation. I barely tapped my brush into the product and got the perfect amount of color. The only problem I had was that if you apply a bit too much of the Light powders then you can end up with a powdery looking face but that's nothing a little setting spray or Fix+ can't fix. I definitely recommend this palette!
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Mini Review:
So far I have been loving this foundation! It's luminous enough to give my skin a soft glow without making my oily areas look even more oily throughout the day. Blends super easily and is definitely very lightweight. I absolutely LOVE the coverage, it's full coverage without looking like a mask. I'm still learning how to apply it (I sometimes apply a bit too much and it looks less than stellar at the end of the day but that's user error) and if/when I purchase it I'll need to get color matched again because this color is far too dark, I have to blend it into my neck and chest so it doesn't look ridiculous, but other than that it's amazing and I'm enjoying it!

Sandra, it's such an amazing palette! Thank you for the foundation advice! I'll have to try that next time I use a bit too much product. I absolutely love the Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes, it's my holy grail mascara. I have lashes that are prone to clumping and that mascara doesn't clump my lashes at all. Plus it's super waterproof, like splashing water on my eyes and rubbing them doesn't move the mascara at all. Thank you so much! (:

Alexis, great post! Beautiful look. I have been fighting myself for that Contour Palette, I really don't need it. I have several Contour palettes, but since I got the shade light eye palette, I've really been rethinking..lol. You have made me want it more!! Lip color looks fab on you!!
