I like what you're going for, it's very rockabilly, like a fashion ponpadour :D I think if you straightened your hair before hand, it would improve it, although you could just style the curls into intentional dramatic curly qs.

I think if you made the bump a little smaller& left some hair down on the side it would look super pretty! :) sort of like a half up half down but making your front/bang area in that shape
