Hair colour trouble. HELP.

So I have dark brown hair! (Dyed)
I want to go lighter, I would like maybe a medium brown hair colour.
Now I don't have the money for a hairdresser... I was thinking could I possible buy a hair stripper (I know this will turn my hair orange) and then put a medium brown over it? Would this work or not? Thank you x

Just know that color stripper can only take away added color. So if your hair is naturally a medium brown already, that's what it will return to. If you've bleached it, it will get super light. But yes, stripping the color and them dyeing over it will absolutely work.

I used a strip on my natural hair and it went lighter, I dyed over it and got the light brown colour I wanted. My hair is a very dark brown naturally so yes they do work. Just find one which strips natural hair colour and not just artificial colour x

It wil definetly work but when I did that my hair would 'slurp up' all the color so you might want to take a shade lighter than your desired color
