What are your thoughts on or experiences with lip injections?

Natalie A.

If you have good lips that aren't super wrinkled, don't get lip injections. there are plenty of treatments and DIYS to plump your lips and eventually give you a longer-term result. If you have thinner lips, then you could consider lip injections. Just be mindful that you have to get them injected multiple times because the plumpness of your lips will fade. Also, if you get them too big, when they shrink down to there normal original size, they'll be a little more saggy and wrinkled. Also think about when you're older… do you want plump lips or wrinkled lips? It's just as important to look at the future as it is to look at the present. I hope this helped

I 100% agree with Natalie. Considering what they will look like in the future is important even though you may like the look now.

There is a video on beautylish that tells you how to get lips like kylie Jenner without injections. It is amazing

I have done it, 25 units. as for them sagging in the future, I would imagine you'd have to do Kylie Jenner lips repeatedly. there are better chat forums than beauty lish for questions about injections, look there.

From my experience of seeing other people who got lip injections, they almost never turn out good. that being said, if you're going to do it make sure you go to a really really good and credible surgeon. although the price will be higher it'll be worth it. make sure you do thorough research on the type of injection they specifically use. just make sure you do thorough research.
lastly, I looked at your profile pic and if you are thinking about it for yourself I don't think you need it! your top lip is smaller than your bottom lip but I think if you learn to outline your lips and use a lip plumper you will get an effect that naturally suits your face..just my opinion though :)

I don't agree with plastic surgery & all that stuff unless it's absolutely necessary.

I personally don't like the look because it is soo noticeable -.- It's like at the end you don't look like your lips were always that size, they look all pouty and fishy. I think it is because your natural lip shape is smaller and you are just filling in that small shape, not getting a new lip shape. Well that's just my opinion but if you do it as recommended above make sure to go a great place that you've seen work from.

I think plastic surgery/lip injections are perfectly fine if you've thought it out because it's the individuals choice:) that being said, be sure you've looked hard into the size you want and chosen a credible surgeons so they don't butcher your lip job

Well... I think it depends. I know people who have gotten very minimal injections and they looked great and didnt sag whatsoever. Iy just plumped them up a bit... I guess it depends on your surgeon and what size you want. I personally wouldn't get my lips done even if I love full lips, but if you want them done and have done research then go for it.

Well if you want any type of plastic surgery that's your decision, not anyone else's
at the end of the day it's your body not theirs
just make sure you have done your research where you are going
when you find a place I would ask to look at other clients lip injections/fillers

I personally think they can look good if done correctly. Lip injections are not permanent, so that is one thing you should factor in, if you like the look of them, are you willing to go in and get done once (sometimes twice) a year? Also, really, and I mean REALLY, do your research!! Do not wing it and go to the cheapest surgeon, no. You need a reputable one and I would talk to a couple of different ones until you find the one you're most comfortable with. One who informs you on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, ask to see the other clients before and after photos. Just remember though, not to go too big your first time or at all really (in my personal preference) because you don't want to end up looking like Farrah Abraham lol. Good luck!! & I agree with Nicole B. Check out forums actually discussing this type of stuff, it'll help your decision a lot because here you'll mostly get "I don't like that" lol.

Ok thanks everyone!! I just want my top lip a little fuller I don't want nothing too big >< I just don't want my lip to be ruined after the injections fade away and look terrible!

My friend has gotten a little less than half a syringe and it looks beautiful and natural. Not a single person has even asked her about them. But you must research your doctor/whatever company you decide to go with. And yes, they do fade away.. But so slowly it's not noticeable. If they are done right they WILL look natural. Best of luck to you chica! Do you:)

You look so beautiful and natural without lip injections. If you are doubting it then buy some lip plumper balm spit lipstick on. It does work.

Go for it but make sure you go to a good place. cheaper isnt always better. usually runs ariubd 500 750 a syringe. you will need to refill every 6to 9 months because it will start fading after that since your body absorbs it. in my personal opinion Juverderm works best. it will swell up a bit at first but after 48-72 hrs you should see it go down.

I don't see a problem with trying it. It's not permanent. Whatever makes you happy hun😘

I get them a few times a year for the past few years and I will NEVER be without them. I love them. My lips aren't saggy and wrinkled when they dissolve. I don't think that's even possible. I don't think people who have never had them should be commenting things like that. It isn't stretching them out that much unless you intentionally go for a super fake look and inject many syringes. I get one syringe for both lips. I will say that the results seem to fade quick and it is obvi costly to upkeep. I had NO upper lip before and now I'm not self conscious of that. Check out realself.com for better info on lip injections.

And look at my profile pic. I'm pretty sure it's not noticeable or fake looking either...

Wow, I can't believe a third of a syringe works for you. I usually use Juvaderm as well (and I like it better than Restylane). I still need a full syringe, maybe I will need less eventually (hopefully!) like you said. Your lips look awesome! I'd like mine a bit fuller, but injections are so pricey!

You couldn't even tell you have them Maggie :)

Aint nothing wrong with "changing your body's" ^^^ if it boots your self confidence. if you go to the right doctor you should get great results.

I've had my lips injected with juvederm ultra plus xc for the last year I've had them done 3 times and no one would ever know if they didn't know me before. I could never go without them filled again, I'm in love it's been amazing for my confidence and appearance. Your lips absolutely do not sag and wrinkle if you let the fillers dissolve and don't re inject that's not possible.
I started off with regular juvederm and will only do the juvederm ultra plus xc it's thicker then the original juvederm and the look it gives is amazing. If it's something you're interested in and have researched go for it.
