I don't know if you can see the frizz, but it's mostly on the top half of my hair.

Try using a hair oil! The oil of morocco is one of my favorites. You can use it before as a heat protectant and afterwards to smooth down frizz. As for the tangles, just spritz some hair detangler after the oil and brush through to distribute the product. I also love the Rusk flat iron spray because it have hairspray in it and keeps your hair pin straight all day. Hope this helps!:)

Long side swept bangs because you can go shorter if you want to and they're easier to grow out

I have the exact same problem on top of my hair, after a few hours, the curls come back no matter what I do. What does help sometimes is that I let someone else straighten the back. Also for the bangs, I think that if your shortest strand should reach your jawline, I don't think you should go shorter than that. I did that about a year ago and I thought it was really annoying since I had to pin my hair back constantly since I couldn't get all my hair to fit in my ponytail or bun because the shortest strands of hair were way too short.

Whenever I straighten my hair, I use the John Frieda 3 day straightening spray, and it works super well! It makes my hair really silky, soft and straight, and totally frizz free! I'd definitely recommend it.

I thought it was bad for the hair to use oil on it before heat?
I like redken velvetine for fine hair to control frizz and keep the style because it doesn't weigh hair down. If your hair texture is more course or curly/wavy I like Redken align cream to keep hair straight and frizx free.

Do you do it reasonably slowly, like one slow pass over the hair instead of three fast ones?
May 16, 2015
katie s.
Yeah. I usually go reasonably slow the first time and go over it kind of fast, but not too fast the second time.
