I have like these short little hairs that always stick up and show a lot and I don't know how it got there or how to get rid of it. any ideas?

The picture isn't clear enough to tell if it's breakage or new growth, but either way, it will grow out! I'm going through the same phase. It's a pain. I just use a ton of hairspray to make them behave.

They're baby hairs, everyone has them. You can't really get rid of them. If you shave or cut them then they'll just grow back. Sometimes they're annoying but you kinda just have to deal with them.

They're baby hairs like how Alexis said, I used to cut mine but they just kept growing back. Let them grow, they'll get long enough so that they blend with your hair eventually
