Hey guys! Every time I wash my hair, it always gets really frizzy! What can I do?. I only air dry my hair and I rarely use a blow dryer. It could be the temperature of the water but I'm not sure. I use a quarter size amount of shampoo and same with conditioner, then I towel dry, comb through and let it air dry. Recently I've been leaving my hair in a micro fiber turban for two hours after washing and then taking it of and putting on leave in conditioner when the hairs water has mostly been soaked up. After that, I just let it finish air drying overnight. I've been noticing that this method seem to be working better than before. I would appreciate any answers on what I previously did wrong and any thing I can do in the future to help my hair! Thanks in advance!!

How are you applying it? I only use shampoo on my routes and conditioner on my ends. Also a tip to prevent frizz is add a couple drops of lemon juice to your conditioner

I think you don't have to wash your hire with hot water and after you complete washing your hire dry it with a shrit and brush it with orgen oile.

Do not add lemon juice!! It will make your hair dried out and crispy-as well as lighter...

Yes that's what I figured.

Lemon juice has not dried out my hair because I only use a couple drops and mix it with my conditioner, but that's just my experience.

You're either born with naturally frizzy hair and need to update your products to help maintain frizz, you brush your hair when it's wet, when you shouldn't due to breakage and frizz, you're towel drying your hair, which causes frizz, or you're over shampooing your hair.

Thanks Shanae! I'll keep this in mind.

ALWAYS brush your when wet ONLY it will help to prevent frizz. Also try doing a hot oil treatment and using shampoo/conditioner without SULFATE. Also try putting in L'oreal's curve it curl it taming cream when your hair is still wet. Helps reduce frizz a tons!

I do not recommend to brush your hair wet... it causes breakage and more frizz. Use a wide tooth comb. also a oil will help. morrocan oil is amazing! definitely look into it and try it. I myself have naturally curly hair and it gets frizzy but oil helps a ton and I never even put a brush to my hair ever.

My next door neighbor has frizzy hair (permed) so I asked her to try my hair repair system from Pro Naturals. One session of shampoo, conditioner, then hair mask and finally the Moroccan Argan Oil leave in treatment and boy what a difference it made. I loaned her my Salon Series Ultralight Ionic hair dryer - no frizz, increased shine, no static. Unfortunately she kept it for the week until hers arrived!

No matter when you wash your hair there is going to be breakage but There is actually less breakage when you wash your hair when it is wet. So I recommend doing that. Also when you condition your hair comb through the conditioner.

Thank You so much everyone! I'll definitely try out a few hair oils, and I need a new hair dryer anyway so I'll look at the one you suggested @Lin F.
I have noticed a conflict between brushing hair when it's dry vs. wet and I honestly only comb my WET hair with a regular conair comb, not very wide but not too skinny. I find that excessive brushing in dry hair makes it more stretched out and frizzy

Yeah keep using the comb while your hair is wet.

Also I have curly hair and I know just like any other person with curly hair would say is that if you brush your hair while dry it will be a ball of frizz. So brushing straight hair when it's dry might work but not if your hair is curly/wavy.
