Ok, I think it's called dark spot corrector, not acne spot, my bad!

Accutane is the absolute last resort. It can be very dangerous to those who have bad reactions. And you won't know if you have a bad reaction until you try it. If you don't have bad acne I wouldn't risk getting on Accutane. My dermatologist prescribed it to me because I had awful acne and had tried everything. But I didn't get on it and went to another dermatologist who prescribed an antibiotic that I haven't tried and now my skin looks great. Try everything else first!!

Vitamin C serum has helped me lots. It's expensive but if you're willing you could make it at home, here's a link: http://wellnessmama.com/12076/vitamin-c-serum/

I heard some people have an allergic reaction to bio-oil on their face, but my dermatologist recommended me to use vitamin c serum on my face, sunscreen, and to exfoliate often to get rid of my acne scars. On BL I've heard a lot of girls recommend Dr. Lin's Acne Spot Corrector too. (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called)

I would recommend bio-oil for scars

I don't have much problematic acne anymore but was prescribed Accutane (to my surprise) to get rid of my scars only on my chest and back. Doing some research I read that it doesn't do anything to help scars and may even make them worse. Should I still use it anyways or is my dermatologist just trying to make more money off of me or something? Is there anything else I can do? I really really want them gone by prom.
