Are you in the UK Simmie? If so, Asda do some great ones, they're called Andrew Barton hair grips, they're really strong but cheap

They're amazing and so strong! They can actually withstand my hair haha:) the Poundland, 99p store and Primark ones are rubbish but the Andrew Barton ones are great.

Flat tops slip you need the zig zaggy rivets to grip your hair. I'm not sure about UK stuff but for the most part Goody brand bobbies work for my hair which is super thick.
