Hi kitty, I typically use cetaphil to take off most of my makeup then follow that with olive oil and a hot washcloth, then I'll use one of my cleansers usually my dermalogica one. Lately I've found that my skin has been breaking out a bit more though so I'm wondering what products do you use exactly?

How do you do it? Steam your face and massage the oil into your skin then follow with a face wash?

I also double cleanse with a balm cleanser then follow with a face wash. I chemically exfoliate between once or twice a week. I never use make up wipes as they are so bad for your skin with high amounts of alcohol etc. Oh I might check out that sponge Charlotte! is it gentle on the skin and do you wet it before use?

Good evening ladies,
There's a lot of different cleansing methods and a lot of different answers surrounding them.
I've just gotten into 'Double Cleansing' which entails
Using a pre-cleanse balm, milk, or oil to help break down and remove make up.
Follow with a cleansing with your regular facial soap.
There is oil cleansing where non-comedogenic oils are used to attract dirt and oil, which usually includes either steaming your face or using a hot cloth on top.
There is also facial cleansing devices and tools that are used in conjunction with these methods.
I have been double cleansing lately, and have noticed a much better improvement in my skin in terms of break outs. I am easily susceptible to clogged pores due to the tiny size of mine, and I incorporate a gentle manual exfoliant to help out with the double cleansing.
I have only double cleansed on days where I wear make up and sunscreen.
What are your preferred cleansing methods? Or any you care to try out?
