I just got hired as a programmer for a prestigious company, I'm on cloud nine from happiness! Anyway, the dress code is business casual, I didn't get a chance to see what everyone was dressed like in the company but my new boss (a man) was wearing, pants with a button down, and an HR (woman) was wearing the same thing. But I am a programmer and am not sure how "casually" I should dress. At my previous not that fancy and privately owned company coming in in jeans was okay. And sometimes the secretary would even show up in leggings. But this place is different, I don't want to look over dressed but yet I want to look professional enough to be taken seriously... I mean I'm one of few women in male dominated field. Any suggestions?

I would just mimic them until you get a feel for the place. Dress pants or slacks with a nice blouse should be good! Better to be overdressed than underdressed, especially when you're new

I'd go for very formal black skinny jeans (the kind that look like pants) and a nice, pretty blouse style top, or possibly a loose fitting cami with a neat cardigan and flat shoes.
