Where are you buying the products? Not sure if there is a Sally Beauty Supply near you, but the staff at the store near me a very help and have a lot of tips. Most times they are cosmetology students.

I agree that sallys would be your best bet for color, but if your looking for the same placement and rooty look of those pics, then good luck. that technique takes time for professionals to learn. I've fixed many at home dye jobs attempting this same look and they just looked awful. especially with your ends being dark, and the top of your hair being lighter. your hair would be considered a color correction and I don't recomend attempting it at home.

I agree with Kelly, and this is coming from someone who isn't a professional and also prefers to dye their hair at home. I've wanted to try ombré/roots before but obviously like Kelly stated, this isn't something that is easily done and will require a professional to get it exactly like that, especially if you have no experience on the placement of the dye, how to use bleach, Etc. Usually I'd give advice about how to do it but for this particular dye I wouldn't try it myself.

I agree with Kelly V. it is much harder than it looks and even some professionals can't get right. If it doesn't turn out how you expect you may end up paying even more to get it fixed after you color it , than if you were to go to a pro from the beginning. But if you insist on doing it at home be very very careful with your bleach and keep in mind it will take several processes. Make sure to tease your hair like crazy to avoid harsh lines if you are applying it yourself, and buy toner to get rid of the brassy tones after you bleach. Good luck! ;)
