That is a myth. If you try it I guarantee a lot of breakouts. And in extreme cases of its close enough to your eyes you could permanently loose your vision. If you want something to help your skin I recommend avocado.

Well I can agree on the fact that garlic is a good antibiotic, however, 8 cloves mashed and applied to the face?? that part doesn't seem right to me. I think you might have better results if you incorporate garlic into your diet as compared to applying it to the face. If you are dead set on trying this idea, I recommend using one clove, mixing it into a mask ( oatmeal, banana, yogurt) then trying it on the face. If any irritation occurs remove immediately.
I'm not a derm, I do a fair amount of natural remedies, but that looks sketchy to me.
If your looking for a natural way to help fight acne try dandelions. Cut enough flowering tops to fill a 16 oz glass, cover with boiling water, let cool to room temp, drain the water from the flowers, and use the water on your face.

I agree with Jen. Also I don't think I can stand the smell of 8 cloves of garlic on my face.

I have a Lush face mask that is garlic based and it works beautiful and helps my spots :) I'm not sure about mushing some up and sticking them on your face the smell might be super hard to get off! Might be worth a try though.

I feel as though someone created this "remedy" to troll the Internet, honestly speaking. 8 cloves of garlic smeared on the face and left for 15 minutes? It seems a bit sketchy to me.
