Does anyone have teal hair?? may I see a pic please. I am obsessed with choosing a color that's not going to be so tricky to get. I have 30 developer but I do not want to damage my hair too much.
any pics or experience with this hair color? thanks everyone.

I've had teal hair before. your hair has to basically be white and if it has the slightest tint of orange it won't take.

I found that teal is a lot easier to get than straight out blue. For blue my hair had to be completely paper white. With teal you can get away with a bit of yellow tones in your hair. Note that the color will show up greener if your hair is on the yellow side. If it's orange, it will become muddy brown-green.
On the other hand, if you want dark forest green hair, you can do just a little bit of bleaching...a few tones lighter will do, and then you use teal dye over that. The colors will mix and you'll get a beautiful dark green. For reference there is a picture on my profile here :)

If you don't wanna damage your hair try finding a place that uses Olaplex, I've been seeing a lot of great reviews for this for bleaching hair.

about 1 yr ago I used ion fuschia on the underlying length but is faded in about 1 to two months. I enjoyed the fun of the unnatural color so I tried ion's teal. I was much more bold with the percentage of cover area & loved my choice that is UNTIL it NEVER washed out or even faded very much. It's been close to 7 months now and I'm still very much teal. I've attempted many processes for removal/fading/covering & still I am a blonde mermaid with many shades of the teal. So Just fyi you'll probably love it but be prepared to see it for more than a minute lol

Wow!! thanks for the advice ladies!
you are all stunning by the way :)
my hair is not black but it's been chemically processed (my ends are) I had cut my hair and have since grown it out so hopefully the developer doesn't do too much damage. I am planning to add coconut oil and aussie miracle conditioner to the developer. is that a good idea?

Try a reconstructor & or a cuticle sealer. FYI don't do the sealer until you are satisfied with the color cuz it'll 'seal' it in the hair!
