Okay so I dyed my hair purple yesterday and it didn't take like I wanted to so now I just want to dye it because I still have roots. so I'm trying to decided between a burgundy color or black or maybe just a dark brown. I have some purpke tint in some places.

No it was brown and I wanted a purple tint over it and now it's just brown with a few spots of purple.

Probably wouldn't suggest going black as it'll be hard to change later on I think a burgundy would be good, dark enough to cover and still give you that purple look

You could just buy a permanent plum coloured dye? I think that'd work. :)

If you Want to color it go with a red violet like a plum or a burgundy with more of a violet tinge. what brand did you use for purple and how long did you leave it on.

I used the ion brights and I left it in for 35 minutes. I just dyed a purplish burgundy over it.

Yeah especially with ion you want to leave it on for much longer... I use pravana in mine and I leave it for at least two hours and pravana you really don't need to leave it that long
