I hate the cleanup too. I think you can surround your nail with vaselinr and wipe it off but I have never tried... It also seems to be a methoed that would take time. If not I think there are special products that are sold, I see them on cakefaceconfession s instagram often!

There's a "dry" method that I've tried, but only with two colors. You just paint your base color and before it dries, add different colored drops. Then swirl it with a nail dotting tool or toothpick.

Thanks for your input Lara. I'll have to look into cakefaceconfession's instagram to see what is being used, and thank you.

@ Sam thank you, sorry didn't see your response until now. Maybe I'll try it that way next time. @ Katelyn thank you @ Angela it never fails it's always messy. It takes practice deciding where to put your finger into the design, so confusing lol.

Love them mine never turn out 😍😍 you should try making one of those glue coats where you mix water and Elmore's glue and then surround you nail in it, It peels right off!

I did water marble last week. 1.5 hours later... Lol. Pics on my page. I use room temp water but cleanup is still a pain. I just wait until it's all done and spend the time cleaning. Love those color combos!

I put tape all around my finger so there's practically no cleanup BUT putting that tape on is a pain too... -.-

Use tape around the edges of your nails so you won't have that much clean up to do.

Thank you to all the ladies that responded and thank you all for the compliments. I'll definitely take your tips into consideration next time I do this.

I tried the tape. It definitely doesn't work for me. I typically use cuticle oil all around the nail, since I don't have glue. I also have polish remover soaked q-tips handy so I can clean each nail as I go. If you try cleaning while the polish hasn't had a chance to dry it's a little easier I think.
