same way you would use a foundation. Except you don't need to prime, and with certain creams you don't need a base moisturizer.

I would disagree with Dharma and say you should always use a moisturizer. Skip primer, though, or you're blocking the benefits that a bb cream should bring to your skin.
Use your hands to apply, not a brush or sponge. That's about it.. you just apply it to your skin and go from there. You can use it in place of foundation or under it. You apply moisturizer first, then bb cream, foundation if you're using it, concealer, powder to seal it all in. Then you do your blush, bronzer, highlight, all that.

Libby is right, but instead of rubbing up you should really be rubbing out. Start at the center of your face and move outwards. That's a general rule you should follow for everything you put on your face.
