I agree with Rachael very much. I love grey/taupes that have a somewhat of a purple undertone like MAC Satin Taupe or a great alternative would be Coastal Scents Gypsy Stone with a small wet concealer brush. A great alternative is Mary Kay Mineral Eyeshadow (this is not our grandmother's company any longer) and the colors Lavendar Fog, Granite, Sweet Plum and one of their colors like Almond for a blender shade. They have the cutest packaging now. If you are like me I want to use minerals, but like them pressed. They are $6.50 each, less than my 40% off pro discount at MAC and I met an amazing girl online named Lisa that can get the products to me SO fast. They also have bundles of four eyeshadows at $19.50 that are specifically chosen for green eyes, blue eyes, brown, etc. I was shocked at the love I have for the colors of the CS Hot Pots, so I went for the 252 palette that is a mix of all of the hot pots in one. However, the shiny beautiful quality of the Mary Kay new collection is so nice. I love to have a somewhat of a shine with no shimmer on my lid with mattes around it. I get that with granite and it is gorgeous. I am addicted to their shadows. They are magnetized so you can put them in your own palette or you can put a little dot of glue on the bottom and keep them in the cool packaging they come in. I have never seen a company care so much about the presentation and packaging of their single eye shadows. I use their eye primer also as it is clear and nobody can see the white with the lengthening mascara. I have so many of their things and used to think that when I was 14 it was for my grandmother as it was marketed differently. As they said many years ago in old movies "You've come a long way baby" and I am finally seeing celebrity makeup artist use their products. I am doing a video next week about the cream shadow tip I learned for a celeb makeup artist in beach blonde. He said he loves it because it makes the lid shade keep that shine and intense the lid shade and it looks great on a day out with no other colors. I took a double take when I was watching him on video and backed it up to be sure he was using the same product I love to use. I wish you the best and maybe not all people, but I love to actually wear cranberry, red tone shades as well as even fall green shades with green eyes. Have a great new year and if like any of the MK shadows you can go to their site and find someone local. I don't mind that I have never met Lisa. Her house is like a store and when I want something I want it now, so she always has it in stock and ready to ship whereas many need to order it for you first. Best of luck and happy new year! xoxo Jennifer
