I've been felt ugly just because of my weight. After years of never gaining weight, I gained it all at once, which was 4 years ago. I've been trying to lose weight for 4 years but I haven't been able to do do. I was wondering, what is the most effective way to lose weight?
Note: I will not do crunches.

Hi Luna, to start I'd work in some cardio daily, even if its going for long walks or a short jog. I personally love yoga, not only for its physical benefits but its mental benefits. I think it could really help with your body image which is the first step!

Make sure you exercise at least 3 days a week, and cange your diet a little bit.Try cutting out all sodas and juices and replace them with water. It's AMAZING what that little change can do haha. Also try eating small meals throughout the day (around six a day) instead of three big meals. It'll keep your metabolism up so you can digest easier. When we eat three big meals a day our body likes to store the fats and such. You just need a lot of self control (I have absolutely 0 self control haha). Also, don't deprive you of things you really want. If you're just dying for some chocolate, eat a little! If you don't allow yourself you'll just end up binging.
Good luck! :) You can do it!!!

I totally agree with Kayli & Krystle. Allow yourself a "cheat" day & don't forget to weight train. Building muscle helps you lose fat. Also, ignore the scale (to a degree) and go by how your clothes fit. Aaaand, if you fall off the wagon, don't beat yourself up about it, just get right back on. :)

I love doing this workout three times a day and the other 10 minute cardio workouts

Also, try to cut out soda and snacks out of your diet since those are the most fattening things in your diet. Get water instead. It really helps out!

Like Barbara said, find a sport or exercise that you really love. I'm a Zumba instructor, and I don't get bored with it because I love to dance.
There are so many options out there like Zumba, boxing and bicycling just to name a few. Try several until you figure out what you like best. Also, pay attention to portion size when it comes to snacks and meals. Good luck! :-)

One food that you should stay away from is white bread! I used to have it all the time but I stopped and it made quite a big difference :) hope this helps, good luck x

Buy the Book "The 17 Day Diet" and follow it. I watched what I ate and exercised for years and could never get below 140 lbs. I would get frustrated and stop trying and gain it all back. Last January I borrowed the book from my sis and by April was down to 120 lbs! I did some exercising, but nothing too grueling. The diet basically jyst retrains you to eat healthy. Easy to follow and I lost 10 lbs the first 17 days. Highly recommend it!!

I put my iPod on shuffle and whenever I don't know a song I just do simple EXCERCISES. When I do know a song, I just dance! Idk dancing is enough :)

Thank you all for your input. I'll put your advice to heart and hopefully I'm successful. :)

I gained lots of weight from medication I was taking a few years back and the only thing that worked for me is the Weight Watchers program! I paid at first but now I've downloaded a free app that does everything - and you can figure all of your points out yourself in the app or with the help of Internet articles. It's the only sane way to do it - you can eat the foods you still love! It really helped me because I have zero willpower. But I've lost a total of around 45 pounds and I'm still losing. I tried everything before but this plan has worked for me! :-)

Pilates, barre, and yoga classes put me in the best shape I was ever in. I rarely did typical cardio, running etc, but doing Pilates is so great bc you tone up and fast! You can't get bored either, you don't do lots of sets of an exercise, you do a bunch of exercises for a short period.

All I have to say is DONT STARVE YOURSELF. If you so, and you eat again, your body will store it as fat.

I lost 50 lbs watching my calories with the help of myfitnesspal. It's a website/phone app.

I am starting the Insanity workout today. It consists of working out for 60 days with one rest day a week. It's mostly plyometrics (jumping jacks etc) and ranges from 30-40 mins a day. It's incredibly intense but I have seen the results and so I definitely want to do it! I started right before Christmas but got really tied up with family etc so now it's going to be a clean start.

If you want to start of with something less intense, definitely try walking and build your way up to running. This coupled with calorie tracking and healthy eating is definitely going to help.

I am right there with you girl...everyone is giving you GREAT advice, so I won't. But drop me a message if you need encouragement or anything else. I have struggled with my weight all my life, so, ya, I'm right there. :)
