MAC Matchmaster? Not Too Sure About It.

I went to a MAC counter today to get a sample and color match for the Matchmaster foundation. I don't know if it's the way the lady applied it to my skin but I hated it. She used a stippling brush to sweep the foundation over my face so there were streak marks and when I touched my face the foundation came right off. I got the sample anyways but is the foundation really that bad? Or is it just how she applied it? I also got a sample of the Prep + Prime Radiant Primer (I think that's what it's called, the yellow primer) so any reviews on that would be helpful as well. Thank you!

I think it's how she applied it, when I use my stipple I apply in circular motions till evenly blended, but I'd do more research on the foundation

It sounds like she didn't apply it properly. Stippling brushes are great for adding extra coverage; but for foundation... unless done correctly it can easily look streaky. And I definitely wouldn't do a sweeping motion for foundation with a stippling brush. I say give it a go on your own terms :)

Thanks, girls! I figured it was just the application, which is why I still got the sample, but I wanted to ask just in case (:

Thank you, Gen! (:

Ny favorite mac foundation thus far. gives super good coverage, keeps you matte, and looks soooo smooth and poreless. I LOVE it. no complaints at all.

Thanks, Erica! (:

Thanks, Talei! (:

Wait, can you get samples from mac!? 😱 I did not know this 😱

I got my samples from a MAC counter, not a free standing store, but of course you can get samples (:

When I bought my foundation (use that exact kind) I had to do it myself because the lady who applied it at Mac made it look awful. like a streaky nightmare but once I did I loved it. just make sure to set it with powder and a setting spray :)

Thanks, Kathryn! (:
