So I thought I'd share my opinion on the kat Von d foundation. My skin type is normal/dry but for the most part normal. I have huge pores, redness on my cheeks, and acne scarring. I've tried so many foundations and nothing is covering up my flaws. First off, I was very nervous about getting this because I've heard tons of mixed reviews about it, mainly stuff like it's really thick and gets cakey. Well when I went to sephora I told the lady what I was looking for (full coverage, long lasting) and she recommended the makeup forever hd. I sampled that and I didn't get the coverage that I really wanted so I tried the kat Von d. I was so impressed. I was really really nervous about this foundation but honestly it's the best foundation I have ever used. It is really thick, so I find using my beauty blender is the best to blend it out just because in my opinion beauty blenders sort of sheer it a little. This foundation covered up my redness and acne scars with ONE layer!! Oh my goodness! I cannot express my love for this. Since it is so thick I could imagine that it would get cakey if used too much (which for this product it literally doesn't take much at all to cover your whole face) but for me it didn't get cakey at all. I used it with my porefessional primer (which I also love so much!) and everything looked so flawless. No pores, no redness, no scars. NOTHING! I wanted to share this because if you're like me and have scars/redness this is a perfect foundation and it fits the shade of my face so perfect as well!

Yeah it is matte but I heard if you used a dewy setting spray it won't look as matte.
