Baby shampoo. Like Shanae said swirl the brush in your hand with a bit of shampoo. Repeat till the water runs clear

Buy the Sonia kashuk makeup brush cleaner. it's a purple liquid and you spray it on your makeup brushes and rub the bristles and rinse it out. it works very well

I also use Parian Spirit. I wouldn't use anything else now. It works great and dries fast.

There is also some spray they sell at sephora it is antibacterial I think you just spray it to the brush and to a clean dry towel you swirl it around till its clean they also have one in MAC I believe and Elf brand also carries one for like $6.
