Since I a super pale, I always have issues applying bronzer. It always looks muddy, or just completely wrong. Do you ladies have tips for applying bronzer, so that it can add a little color, but not be overdoing it? Does that make any sense?

Thank you Charli!! I will look for a matte bronzer :) I currently use elf golden bronzer, and it is very shimmery so maybe that is the problem.

I agree with Charli, a fan brush helps me to achieve light application with a product that is very pigmented! (I use it with my Nars Exhibit A blush, it's a bright red and if I applied it with a regular blush brush it would look absolutely crazy!)
What bronzer are you using? You could also try using a lighter toned one, a lot of people like the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil, maybe give it a try in-store if you have the chance!

Thank you Breeze! I currently use elf's golden bronzer, and I think it might be too dark for me. I would love to try a too faced bronzer, but sadly I cannot buy Too Faced or other brands like that in Bolivia. I was looking at essence's light matte bronzer, essence is about the only brand I recognize here.

That's too bad, I wasn't sure they had it in Bolivia. We have Essence here, I actually like their products! It's not a big splurge so if it doesn't work it won't be a huge waste of money. If you have NYC you could try their bronzer, it's matte, cool and suitable for pale skintones.

Thank you Breeze! I think I will give the essence bronzer a try then! And keep my eyes out for NYC products :)

Hi Taylor. Also very pale!! I actually use Milani blush in "luminoso" as a bronzer. Lol call me crazy but it gives me a beautiful bronze glow

I use benefit hoola with the real techniques powder brush. I find if you dip your brush with a light layer and tap off all the excess then gently swirl the brush around areas of face you want to bronze. The key for me is start with light layers and keep tapping off the excess. I'm very pale too and hoola doesn't look muddy or patchy on me.

Thank you ladies! I will keep those products in mind for my next trip to the states! And That is great Alex! I shied away from bronzer because I always had hope I would get some natural color, but I now realize that won't happen lol so I want to start figuring out how to use it lol I bought Essence's Matt bronzing powder for light skin today, and I love it! If you want a cheap bronzer to start with, I suggest that!

Have a light hand when you apply bronzer, make sure you have the right brush or else it will look muddy.
I use a regular bronzing brush or sometimes the brush that comes with the hoola by benefit.
bronzer really gives color to pale girls and I love the way it looks.
I also absolutely love the hoola by benefit bronzer only bronzer I use (:

Knock off the excess then gently pat it on from your temple in a 3 shape to your jaw
