Hey guys, I'm currently dealing with a few breakouts here and there and lots of scarring from previous breakouts and my entire teenage life haha. Right now the only skincare products I use are Neutrogena makeup remover wipes and my Clarisonic with Purity by philosophy. I only use two products because I don't want to overdo it and be too harsh on my face, but I wonder if there is anything out there that can help actually fade the scars if I use it consistently. I know there is no miracle product that does it overnight but has anyone tried anything that actually does work if you use it long enough?

Use a dark spot corrector and/or a vitamin C serum. Also make sure to exfoliate (which I'm assuming the Clarisonic does/helps with) and use SPF so they don't get darker (:

One thing you need is to be consistent throughout your regime is keeping your skin hydrated and protected from the sun, otherwise anything else you will do is essentially useless as your skins hydration is what allows it to heal and regenerate and move forward. Think of it as trying to heal from an illness, if your body is dehydrated... you won't get far.
Any antioxidant serum will help your skin fight off dark spots, however before that you always need to wear an spf of at least 30 in order to be succesful. The sun darkens dark spots on our faces far too easily. Exfoliation also needs to be in check in order to keep dead skin off so your skin absorbs any product you put on it easily, without exfoliation those dead skin cells stay ontop and don't allow products to penetrate successfully.
A good moisturizer should have ingredients to also help clear up dark spots.
I have a fair amount of spots that I have lightened on my own... the products that have helped me are
Paulas Choice Skin Recovery Moisturizer
I have seen better results from using this cream then I have using a Vitamin C serum, thats just my skin.
Raw Manuka Honey which was recommended to me by my esthetician which has done a fabulous job at repairing my skin and evening out my skin tone. Its antiseptic properties have also helped me with a bactera infection that I have on my skin.
AHA/BHA exfoliant ( Loads of options at both Ulta and Sephora, mild chemical exfoliants work great for getting past that first layer of skin ).
SPF nothing is effective without SPF!! Thats your topic factor before you invest in anything else.
I hope this helps :)
