So on the today show today they were talking about using red lipstick under concealer to cover dark circles?? I didn't actually watch the whole segment bc I had to go to work but I was wondering if any of you heard/tried this? Is this even safe? I don't personally have dark circles but I never heard of this before and found it interesting. Also wasn't sure what category to put this in as it involves makeup but dark circles involves skincare.

I heard about this as well, I don't know if it work haha but I sure wouldnt put red lipstick under my eyes haha!
But I do watch MakeupGeek on youtube and she always say that a orangey concealer is what works best on her very dark under eyes, so maybe thats something you can try :)

I'm guessing that those with golden undertones would use this tip? Because they are to use a peach corrector to help with the redness? Idk that's so interesting!

I actually saw a video by Grav3yardgirl who tried this method out, I think it was called "pintertest". Maybe check it out, she tried both a red and a peach lipstick but you need a very heavy duty concealer!

Yea I'm probably not going to try it haha I really don't have bad circles anyway but I was just surprised when I saw it. In the preview for the segment the girl doing it definitely had golden undertones. I'll check out those videos though since I missed the segment thanks!

I've heard of it but I think it's meant for dark skin tones. It would look really cray on someone as pale as me.

NA, salmon/peach/orange works better for that

Yea I've heard of the salmon/peach thing I didn't think lipstick would be all that effective I just thought it was interesting they were promoting it on the news.

I had never heard of this but like Jacqueline said I feel itd just take a lot more unnecessary work. I think I'd stick with a correcting primer.
