I have long blonde hair and I have a lot of split ends :( I want to start taking better care of my hair so I'm going to get my hair trimmed but I just wanted to know if anyone has any tips or tricks to help me keep my hair healthy? Thank you!

Can't really suggest anything since I have totally different hair than you, but I would use less heat or none if you do use it.

1. Wash your hair with cold water
2. Don't use a brush when your hair is wet
3. Don't use heat
4. Use a hair oil/leave in conditioner

Warm/hot water opens up the hair cuticle, you can still use warm water just make sure to at least rinse with cold water so you can seal the cuticle and lock in the moisture from the conditioner.

I'm on the same journey as you, but with a different hair type
But you should wash your hair less often
Minimize use of heat styling tools
And read more into the ingredients of products you use on your hair
A lot of them contain alcohol and other drying chemicals
Also. If you can, invest in a pair of shears so you can trim off any split ends before they get worse (:

Don't wash your hair everyday.
Don't use extremely hot water when washing
Keep heat products such as irons and blow dryers at a minimal use
Leave your conditioner in for 3-5 minutes
Condition everyday.
