You'll definitely want to get a sulfate free shampoo because it will help the color from fading. If you can, try to not wash your hair everyday because that will make the color fade fast too. I'm also auburn with Green eyes, and I try to stay away from super pink blush because it makes me look sunburnt.

The one problem I find with adding a reddish colour to your hair is that it brings out all the redness in your skin, so you may have to wear more foundation than usual if you suffer with redness in the skin.
Other than that I really enjoy wearing warm colours. Red lipstick and I love gingerly by Mac as a blush

I'm a strawberry blonde. Be careful with red tones in makeup, invest in a green primer to counteract redness. Try to find a good blush so the red doesn't wash you out too much.

I'm a natural redhead (it turns more strawberry blonde in the summer), and your skin probably will look a bit pinker. However, I've never had any problems wearing pink/red makeup at all! Honestly, I don't really find that makeup clashes with my hair...I tend to stay away from colors in my outfits more than I do in my makeup choices. I don't like wearing hot pink, yellow, or orange. I do love to wear reds though! And a light pastel pink can be really gorgeous with red hair! It really just comes down to how it looks on you as a person though, because what looks good on some might not look good on you regardless of hair color :)

Thank you! And we seem to have the same style sense! I'm a neutral girl as well, but I love bold royal colors, like deep blues and purples, red, and emerald green. I'm happy to help, I'm sure you'll be a fab red head!

I tend to go for Rose toned blushes...they compliment my skin without bringing out too much red!!

There is a great YouTube video on lisa eldridge's channel where a celebrity makeup artist named mary greenwell talks about redhead makeup. she basically says she ignores the hair color and focuses on skin tone and eye color. I'm a redhead with green eyes, I find copper and bronze to make my eyes pop and they go well with the warmth in my hair. purple eyeshadow also looks nice if done right, and I tend to take it easy on the blush since I have some redness in my cheeks. hope this helps.
