I was recommended by an online derm to use am emollient to reduce the pigmentation on a scar I have. Can anyone clarify what and emollient is, or recommend some good ones for me? thank you!

This is hard to describe hahahaha but it's essentially a compound which Is defined by its water to oil ratio. It's literally found in everything, a form of an emollient would be a cream. If that makes sense, if not I'm sorry I'm on no sleep.

Lol so funny for my AP English we studying roots and emollient is one of the words 😂 it means "softener" so technically a thicker moisturizer or cream, probably softening the appearance of a scar. Anything with retina-a and aloe Vera in it I've heard is great for reducing scars! Have you ever tried bio oil?

Yes, Reese, it did nothing for me but thank you!
