Well I'm sorry that's happening. I'm sure you already know this but make sure your washing your sheets and pillow cases, drink water, eat healthy, take off your makeup and cleanse your skin and try not to be stressed. Maybe try a spot treatment to.

There's lots of things that could be breaking you out. Stress, genetics, it may also be because you stopped using the treatment. Spot treatments definitely help. Lots of things are good for acne like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, witch hazel. Also, be gentle on your skin with treatments and whatnot, irritation will only make it worse.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. It is possible your hormones have to do with your breaking out. Maybe you can get an appointment with your gynecologist before May? A friend of mine broke out like crazy for hormonal reasons and her gyno helped her with that. I would definitely recommend you go and have them checked. Good luck with that, beautiful.

It sounds a lot like hormones or the washes you could be using could actually be irritating your skin and making it worse I had exactly the same problem as you all of my spots scared and left me with big red and purple dots all over my face I tried all sorts of different washes and not wearing make up but everything seamed to make it worse. So I decided to buy simple products so I don't use anything harsh on my skin and my spots are going I stick to a routine of using simple spotless wash followed by simple toner then simple oil balancing moisturiser everyday and it's really working for me! I would really give it a try it's cheap and is really working for me the the wash toner and moisturiser are all around £2 each roughly. I hope it gets better for you!

Marila, I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. When I was a teenager I had terrible breakouts that some of my peers thought I had chicken pox. So you can imagine how bad I felt to hear that. I noticed after I stopped eating anything that was greasy it helped a lot. I also used coconut oil to take my makeup off. ( no alcohols to dry you out ) after that I would use a gentle cleanser such as cetaphil to wash the face. I also use cetaphil lotion to moisturizer during the summer months since it is lightweight. After that I would use tea tree oil on a cotton swab and dab it on problem areas. This will help your acne come to a head and kill all the bacteria. It is a natural antibacterial so it is great since there is no other ingredients. My heart is with you because my acne was genetic and it totally brought my self esteem down. I hope this helped you. Take care

I forgot to mention that you might want to try using bare minerals foundation for its limited ingredients. This is the foundation I fall back to when I start breaking out and put all my liquid / bb / cc foundations away.

When unsure about the cause I always suggest going back to basics. Leave the harsh products alone till you get the issue under control...which in your case is seeing your dermo. I wouldn't definitely would introduce any new products to your skin as it could even further agony. So sorry that you are going thru this. :( Mariana and Charlotte made some great points in regards to following a simple skincare routine and bringing up the hormonal aspect. Especially the hormonal part...you'd be amazed how big a role those hormones play in how your skin behaves.

I definitely feel your pain. I had really bad acne for years and ended up taking 4 full courses of Accutane. That's the ONLY thing that worked. I'd agree that using new products might not help. I'd definitely continue with the Retin a, clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide though. You're definitely using the pretty standard acne prescriptions so they should help. I've asked to be added to the cancellation list at my derms before and actually got in pretty quick. You might try that. I've had some luck with mild glycolic peels as well. I feel there is no rhyme or reason for acne. I have taken Accutane and still get breakouts and have an immaculate skincare regimen. It's sometimes impossible to prevent. I did start taking spironolactone 2 months ago and it seems to have helped so far so you might want to ask about that. I think it helps a lot of acne that is hormonal in nature. Also make sure nothing goes on your face that isn't non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic. Everything else could clog pores and cause issues.

Your pillow cases should be changed like every night. And don't touch your face. That helped me out a lot.
