I've been wearing contacts for thirty years and put them in before, because it doesn't mess up the makeup and because I can't see a darned thing otherwise. Follow proper care and hygiene with them. Wash those hands!
If I get debris/fallout, I flush with saline but keep a bunch of tissues right at my eye to minimize the mess. Personally I rarely wear any liner on my waterlines because of this, but I am neurotic. lol. But I've also never had an infection or something icky with my eyes/contacts, so I guess sometimes it pays off! lol

I have been using contact lenses from past 14 years and I always always use them before makeup :)

I put them in before I apply my makeup. Its actually better as if you wear heavy eye makeup, putting in your contacts after makeup application is more likely to get the makeup in your eyes.

I put them in before because then I can't see how I'm doing my makeup also because a drop of solution always comes out after I put them in. I take them out by using my fingers to hold the contact and loose the suction and close my eye and it just falls out :)

I am dead ass blind without my contacts, so I have to put them in first! I've never had a problem!

I wear contacts, when I wear them I put them in before. If I have any fallout makeup that happens to get in my eye it lands on my contact and I can wipe it off with my finger. It helps with it not getting in my eye and hurting. Also if I put it in afterwards my hands are wet from the contacts which mess up my makeup which isn't good. But it's just personal preference.

I do it before because after doing makeup there is all sorts of shiz on my hands plus I can't see what I'm drawing onto my face without them

I wear contacts and I tried putting them in after when I first got them and it was a disaster! My eyes just watered and smudged all of the makeup. Plus, it's easier to do makeup when you can see!

Alyx is spot on. safest to do it before. I wouldnt even try and put mine if my make up was already on.

Do it before. If you put in your contacts after, any debris that fell into your eye will be trapped under the contact, and can cause scratches on your eye. Always put in your contacts before putting on any makeup, and take them out before removing makeup.

Also because when I put them in I have to pull on my upper lid and that would smear my makeup like crazy if I did it after. But if you do put them in before, be very careful not to get mascara on them cause it's hard to get off and you don't wanna have a black line in your vision.
I take them off using the popping technique which is where you don't have to touch your eye to remove them (I could never get it).

I put them in after I apply my makeup. I find that way easier and I just take them out I just slightly pinch them
