Lots of blush. Those lights are going to make you look dead without it. Do not contour and use a foundation 2-3 shades darker. Eyeliner is great, but for a country girl don't wing it out!

Stage makeup is heavily exaggerated from everyday wear. Audience members in the front row will be around 15 ft away and people in the back can be quite far from you. You want to exaggerate your features heavily so they're visible to the audience - you should look strange and overdone up close. The look shiro posted is lovely, but on stage it won't be visible at all. I'd go for a "your lips but better" shade of pink, maybe a little brighter so it stands out more, lots of red blush for a rosy-cheeked look, and black liner along your lashes and waterline. Black mascara on top and bottom lashes.

I think loose curls or a messy side braid would be pretty, attention-getting and appropriate for the costume!

Make it stand out much more than in real life it should look a little cartoony but not too much, and I completely agree with the advice Shiro, Alex, and, Kali gave you.

Oh I didn't see Jack's comment I agree with a messy side braid, BUT KEEP YOU HAIR OUT OF YOUR FACE, I also think a somewhat messy but secure ponytail might be a good compromise though.

Darker foundation than usual and bold bright blush
bolder eyeliner
bright over exaggerated lips I would do red
the eyeshadow should be every bold
try tight curls and put them in a high pony that would look super cute. (:
but yah.. jack b pretty much nailed it. (: I've been in theatre productions for many years and I do theatre makeup for the elementary by my house. (: hope this helps. ❤️

I would use a more natural lip color like a nude mauve or something and don't forget blush so you don't get washed out from the stage lights.
