I have the Smashbox contour kit.
I'm very fair and these colours work quite nicely on my skin without making it look muddy. Depending on how pale you are, the highlight may not be light enough, it could just end up blending with your skin tone.
For me, the contour works well, the colour is buildable, but I don't like the contour brush that came with the contour kit. I would recommend using a different contour brush.

I haven't heard of the smoke box but it has gorgeous colors!
I've heard the contour kit shades are very pigmented, blendable, are matte (which is good) & overall a good contour kit besides the brush.
I would buy a contour brush.
The left shade is a cool toned taupe contour shade while the right is more of a warm bronzer.
and the highlight is very pigmented and gorgeous (:

I've tried the contour kit. it was very bendable and had good pigmentation but for some reason it just didn't work for my skin tone. I wish it did because I would've definitely kept it. the eyeshadow palette I haven't seen yet, but I used a smash box eyeshadow palette last summer and I hated the consistency of their eyeshadow, the colors weren't pigmented and I felt like it was hard to work with..just wasn't a hit for me.
smashbox came out with a 3 step highlight contour cream pencil kit and I bought it as a gift for a friend, and she is absolutely obsessed..so that's going to be my next purchase. I believe it's exclusively at sephora, you should look into it :)

I have the contour kit. I use the highlight to set my liquid highlight, set all my face with loose powder, than build my contour with the powders. I do still tend to use my Nars Laguna though.
