I've always had problems wearing lipstick because everything settles in the creases of my lips. For christmas I got the L.A girl glazed lip paints and I've been so upset that I still can't wear them cause of the creasing. I have the too faced lip insurance but that doesn't seem to help. I thought about getting the mac prep+prime for my lips but I don't wanna spend more money on something that might not help. any suggestions?

Try putting on a lip liner before putting on lipstick.

Do you moisturize them religiously?

I usually exfoliate my lips apply lip balm and keep my lips in a circle (kind of smiling big) while the lipstick is drying so it doesn't settle in all the lines and that seems to work best

Using a lip balm that is wax based will fill in those lines because it creates a barrier. Just apply and then blot to take away excess product and then apply your lip color.

I have the same problem with certain products. Personally I find anything that has a matte finish really extenuates the lines in my lips. Try exfoliating and then applying a good moisturizing lip balm. I really enjoy Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, Nivea Lip Balm, and Vaseline Lip Balm.

Thanks For the tips! I do exfoliate my lips. I use the e.l.f lip exfoliator. It seems to be okay. Which one do you guys use?

I exfoliate my lips with brown sugar olive oil & honey than exfoliate it with a clean toothbrush that I don't use for my teeth.
after that I apply the original carmex or blistex silk & shine (I prefer carmex)
then apply a lipstick. I usually only wear matte lipsticks & my MAC lipsticks don't seem to extenuate any of the lines in my lips and arent dehydrating either.

How often do you exfoliate? I've tried a homemade sugar scrub and that was good but it seemed a little much to use often. If that makes sense lol.

I exfoliate my lips when I feel they are really chapped and gross.
sometimes it's one time a week sometimes it's three. it just depends on my lips honestly.

I exfoliate them with my toothbrush and then put on burts bees chapstick. It helps tremendously.

There's a brand called Chicken Poop out there, and it's freakin amazing. It's all natural, and my dry lips drink it up like lemonade in July. HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with lip issues (like myself, lol)

@Jessica...I went to go check Chicken Poop. Pretty cool story about how the product came about. Family has a sense of humor. Love it. I was about to put it in my cart at drugstore dot com when I saw it contained lavender. I can't handle that particular ingredient on my lips. :(( So bummed out. Love the fact its all natural...ingredients list super short.
