I adore the urban decay naked skin liquid foundation so much..5 is the perfect color for me and it looks great throughout the day. It's a very light foundation and doesn't break me out.
Since the weather has gotten colder, my skin has gotten drier and its making the foundation look ugly on my forehead & around my nose. I'm using a hydrating serum, dermalogica moisturizer, and a hydrating primer before I use the foundation, and nothing is helping. I also exfoliate regularly.
Any ideas/products that I could try to help this problem? I'm willing to try a new foundation as well, but it has to be a similar formula and shade of the current one I'm using.

What do you use for application?
I just had the same problem, no matter how much preparing I did on my skin, my makeup (bb cream) just looks awful and made my skin look dry! But what worked for me is I changed the way I applied the bb cream - I used to use a sponge and now I use my fingers! I don't know if this will work with a foundation, but it's definitely worth a try :)

I use one pump (maybe a little less) of the foundation and then I buff it on with the tarte foundation brush. I've never tried applying with my fingers because the bacteria freaks me out lol. I was thinking maybe a beauty blender.

Do you clean your brush often? Sometimes I find my foundation looks a bit different if my brush isn't "like new" with each application

I never used my fingers either, same bacteria phobia! But it truly did help me :)

Honestly I have the same issues. I use the same foundation and I have very dry skin. The only thing that helper me was changing my skincare. I started using lush skincare and my skin immediately started looking better. Ultrabland with celestial basically got rid of all my dry patches and made my foundation go on much smoother. I also do an oatifix face mask every now and then.
I've also heard using a beauty blender instead of a brush can make foundation go on differently but I haven't tried it with this foundation.

I use Cetaphil for my dry skin. I put it in right before any makeup. It really helps.

Try a beauty blender. Buffing doesn't do anything good for my dry, red skin.

Naked skin isn't suitable for dry skin, I'm afraid. I can't stress that enough! I have oily skin, but the moment I get any dry patches, that foundation accentuates it like crazy. I don't use it during the colder months when I get random dry patches

Oooh, buffing brushes can easily be the enemy of dry skin! They tend to exfoliate quite easily and leave dryness everywhere. I have several buffing brushes and the only one who doesn't do any kind of Exfoliation is my Kevyn Aucoin buffing brush.
I agree with using a Sponge, or a flat foundation brush... definitely no buffing. The Naked Skin is suited for oilier skin like Renay said, so you may want to skip applying to those areas and just stick to aminimal face look for awhile.

Thank you everyone. Are there any foundations out there similar to the naked skin that are better for drier skin?

Rimmel match perfection, but it is drugstore so if you have sensitive skin I'm not sure how it'll do for you
