I cut mine so that the inner corner just about reaches the outer edge of my iris. That way, it doesn't poke me or look SUPER obvious if the edge pulls up a bit.

I feel it just depends on the lash. If they are made to wing at the end I cut at the outter corner because they progressively get longer anyways. If they are made to be longest in the middle I cut a little from each end so there's no major change to the lash.
Also a little tid bit. Hold on to that cut off lash. You can use it to stack them and create a fuller false lash.

Oh man I guess I'm doing it wrong. I line mine up where I like where the inner corner is then I cut the outer corner depending on where it was.
