I use to have long hair below my waist. I kept trimming it and now it's right on my chest. It's been like this for months and I hate it I want to grow it out I eat healthier for it and drink tons of water and nothing. I use heat protection when I straighten it but nothing please help!

Biotin for sure! or hair skin and nails supplement, which has biotin plus so many other great vitamins and minerals to help hair grow. it seriously works I didn't think it would but it's great! Also if it's dry leave a conditioning treatment on overnight. and when your regularly shampoo and conditioning do a cold rinse to close the cuticle and lock in moisture. And scalp massages help blood circulation to your scalp!

Also maybe sounds scary but don't skip trims if your afraid they will take too much off ask for them to only use the thinning/texturing shears to take off 1/4 th to 1/8th of an inch about every 6 weeks

Like ive told other people on here. Try to aviod trimming your hair. People usually trim there hair every month or so and your hair only grows an inch per month so your doing no progress in growing out the hair. I didnt cut my hair at all for 2 years and i tried to keep ot healthy as possible to avoid damaged ends and look at my hair now ! Superrr long. Check out my pics so you can believe me lol. Now is when im starting to trim the ends myself because salons always like to mess it up for me and instead of cutting one inch they cut 5 inches

I do agree with you stacy that alot of the time stylists will take more off, especially if you have damage! but if you do have split ends it definetly helps to trim them up...but like I said only have them use the thinning shears on the very ends because thinning shears doing take off length. thats what I do, I wont let anybody come near me with regular shears anymore :-P lol

But do make sure if you do get a trim that you are very clear with your stylist, don't ask for them to take off the damage! say a specific amount so theres no confusion!
