Okay so I haven't had my hair relaxed since August 1,2012 and I have seen a good change in my hair it's way more healthier and has grown so much my thing is should I wait til August and see how much my hair grew and then get a relaxer now and see what IM working with. any suggestions would help :)

Patricia G.
Yeah I would wait until August if u must relax your hair, relaxer just strip your hair which leads to breakage

Carol H.

Thank you @Patricia I just don't know what to do because I also don't use heat on my hair so most of the time it's in a curly bun.

You can also blow dry it but I personally don't use heat in my hair to see the length..you can also try Bantu knots out or a twist out but, but before u take them out stretch the twist around your head and bobby pin them so when you take it out it will be stretched revealing some length

@carol I don't know if I can completely stop with relaxers but I will for the next few months

I also "pineapple" my hair after a twist out so it stretches...depending on your hair texture you can use keratin hair treatment for a more natural alternative to relaxers

@Patricia I've been doing Bantu knots but I just have a problem stretching them out every time I do they become frizzy

the longer u wait the better, im growing my hair out of a relaxer i want my hair to be natural but i ended up dying my hair smh so i know wat u mean but at least u wait awhile before u do another relaxer

@Patricia can you explain the pineapple method more?
Jan 13, 2013
Patricia G.
Use Shea moisture curl smoothie and la natural gel together...first twist your hair like a two strand twist and the Bantu knot it wait until it completely drys before taking it out...use some frizz protection as well that helps

Do this while your hair is wet works best
