Hi, im new to Beautylish . Definitely inspired and motivated to become a professional MUA. I just need advice on where to start exactly! Also, I need to know is it absolutely necessary to take any courses/schooling or if I can learn all on my own ? HELP!

Id say try out new things . try brand products. try drugstore products first then little by little to high end products like mac, clinique, bobbi brown, stuff like that. & Im pretty sure you need a beauty license to work as a MUA. im not sure. but Beauty School def works(:

Depending on the state regulations most places you have to have a license. So more than likely you'll have to take some sort of course. And they usually give you a beginner kit that has everything you need to get started. I am currently in cosmetology school and to be honest I learn mostly everything on the floor working with clients or doing research on my own time. Good Luck! =) Doing something you love makes you feel like you never have to work a day in your life! I never believed it until I started school, I absolutely love what I do and it never feels like a job! xoxo

Another thing don't give up!! even if you feel discouraged, if it's something you want to do then do it. Also work hard and practice, practice, practice. I think if anything, building your kit would be hard. Find inspiration everywhere and find out your state regulations on becoming a MUA it'll make things easier.
